Artemis
Challenge
The goal was to assist a startup in designing a product that addresses personal safety and enhances users’ sense of security. In today's world, where safety concerns are prevalent, creating a solution that genuinely empowers individuals is critical.
My role
As the sole UX designer on this project, I led the zero-to-one design of the digital experience. I defined the app's core features, explored layouts and interactions through wireframing, and progressively refined the screens to high fidelity using a design system I developed. I also facilitated a smooth handoff to developers for implementation. Working closely with the industrial design team, I ensured the app's interactions and visuals aligned seamlessly with the physical product, creating a cohesive and unified user experience.
Outcome
The result is the Artemis Defender System, a personal safety product that consists of a smart pepper spray and a companion app. The design emphasizes the seamless integration between the physical and digital experience, enabling users to feel safe as well as to respond swiftly when threatening situations arise. This solution positions our startup client as an emerging leader in the personal safety market, establishing a new standard for integrated security solutions.
